Santa Specials, Severn Valley Railway

Saturday 6th December 2008

The annual Santa Specials began on this day, using the normal route from Kidderminster to Arley again
 instead of the shorter run to Bewdley in 2007, necessitated by the ongoing repairs after the line had
been severely damaged by flooding in June and July of that year.  It was a gloriously sunny day for
taking photos of the five locos working 8 or 9 coach trains, the two Manors, 'Bradley Manor' and 
'Erlestoke Manor', GWR 2-6-2T No. 5164 and the two LMS moguls, Nos. 42968 and 46443.
